The Asset feed, not to be confused with the Product feed is a internal, agent managed feed for assets that are used during the recover process. This allows you to streamline the recover process, even without the use of an external API Connector for the asset management.
The asset feed consists out of several components that work together, but also functions independently. The Asset feed, like all connectors, is enabled at the portal level. The Asset feed functions like the product feed in both available attributes and import functionality. they can also share product groups should that be desired.
Each Asset, once created & Linked to a product group is directly searchable for by the Agent in the portal when adding a processing line to the unpacking step. Each Asset can also be edited and removed.
If you have a large number of Assets or a catalog that changes on a semi-regular basis, you might want to use our "import" function. This function lets you upload a .csv file with your Assets and will automatically remove all products currently in the system, link them your existing product groups and even create new product groups if they are unknown. Note that the "Parent Product Group" is not created, and is only used to confirm the proper Product Group should more than one share the same name. Relations between Product Groups and Parent Product groups are not created during import, these types of configurations need to be manually confirmed in the product group admin screen. This file needs to be in a specific format which is as follows
|C||Price||10 (max. 2 decimals separated by a dot)|
|D||VAT||10 (max. 2 decimals separated by a dot)|
|E||Currency||3 letter ISO code|
|F||Product Group||64 (case sensitive)|
|G||Parent Product Group||64 (case sensitive)|
Demo File see attachment
Product groups are created on the fly if they do not exist. Assets are added to them dynamically if they do exist. For more information about product groups, see the product group page.
