The Product feed, not to be confused with the Product connector is a internal, agent / merchant managed feed for products that customers can either select from exclusively, or select and edit before submitting their return. This allows you to streamline the return creation, even without the use of an external API Connector.
The Product feed consists out of several components that work together, but also function independently. The product feed, like all connectors, is enabled at the portal level, but assigned per return type. As with all connectors, only one can be active on a return type per time
|Product Group||Dropdown||Which product group does this product belong to.|
|Description||Text||Description of the product the customer can use to see & search for the product.|
|Model number||Text||The product reference / model number. The customer can see & search for this attribute.|

Each product, once created is directly searchable for by the customer in the portal when adding a product. Each product can also be edited and removed.
If you have a large number of products or a catalog that changes on a semi-regular basis, you might want to use our “import” function. This function lets you upload a .csv file with your products and will automatically remove all products currently in the system, link them your existing product groups and even create new product groups if they are unknown.
Note that the “Parent Product Group” is not created, and is only used to confirm the proper Product Group should more than one share the same name.
Relations between Product Groups and Parent Product groups are not created during import, these types of configurations need to be manually confirmed in the product group admin screen.
This file needs to be in a specific format which is as follows

Product groups are created on the fly if they do not exist. Products are added to them dynamicly if they do exist. For more information about product groups, see the product group page.
The product feed has several parameters you can enable to allow the customer creation of a return with this feature. Most of these are automatically set to allow for the optimal experience. The main choice for you is if you want customers to choose from a list exclusively, not be able to manually add products to a return, even though they are not part of the list.
