Welcome to 12Return. You are now ready to set up your 12Return system. This Account Setup will help you with that.
The setup of your 12Return system is done at 4 levels:
The account is the highest level in the setup. You will have one account that relates to your 12Return subscription. On account level you can set up a limited number of items. The items apply to your account in general. Some items can be set up on account level and can be allocated on portal level.
Under the account you can define the portal or portals that are linked to your account. Typically you have one customer portal set up for your account but optionally you can set up multiple portals if you want to separate returns from different channels. Most of the set up items are related to portal level to provide you with maximum flexibility.
Under a portal you can define the return types that are relevant for your returns process. Return types can be set up for different return occasions such as commercial returns, service returns and take-back returns. Many of the set up items under portal can be allocated to a return type to provide you with maximum flexibility.
Logistics settings define the physical network (routes) of origin locations (regions), destination locations (destinations), return options (carriers).
You can find a checklist that describes the setup in 10 steps. In each step we will refer to chapters in the knowledge base that explain the details of the set up item.
To complete the setup for account, portal and return types we have created this checklist that guides you through the setup.
Some of the steps don’t require your immediate action as the set up has already been done by 12Return as part of the Onboarding Program. We still highlight these steps to show you all possible options.

Setting up 12Return will take about 2-3 hours depending on the number of portals and the number of languages that you wish to support. Each language requires content to be set up in different areas such as the portal, surveys and emails.
